Skilled Legal Representation When Filing For Bankruptcy
My office is located in Elk Grove, and I represent clients throughout Sacramento and San Joaquin counties in California. I am dedicated to helping you find a fresh financial start and provide personal attention to your specific situation to truly understand what you are going through and to determine your best options.
Understand Your Debt Relief Options
I understand complex bankruptcy laws and will explore all of your options. I will look at what debts may be eligible to be discharged and what other options may be available to reduce or get rid of other types of debt.
I have experience helping clients review and potentially file for the following:
- Chapter 7 bankruptcy
- Other options, including Chapter 13, Chapter 11 or Chapter 12 and deals with creditors
It is important to know that not all debts are treated the same. Only certain types of debt are allowed to be discharged through a bankruptcy filing. Generally, credit card debt and medical debt can be discharged in a bankruptcy filing while student loans cannot.
Your mortgage loan and car loan can also be discharged through bankruptcy but you will have to give up those possessions in order for the debt to be discharged. You may be able to keep your home or car and other possessions, but you will have to pay down the debt. Filing for Chapter 13 bankruptcy can stop foreclosure, but it is a complex process that requires a skilled and experienced lawyer to make sure all options are considered before filing for Chapter 13.
Filing for bankruptcy is complicated. I can help you every step of the way and get you a fresh start.
